The subject of the Department's research is issues in the area of Transport ICT and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). In particular, this includes the issues of design and operation of ICT networks and systems in transport, analysis of ICT services and assessment of their quality for the needs of users, concepts for the construction of information platforms in various areas of transport and logistics, vehicle management and steering systems, and the use of modern ICT solutions in ensuring the safety of passengers and transported cargo in rail, road and air transport.

Students of our specialty in the first degree program, study electronics, automation, digital technology, telecommunications, data communications, data communications, construction and operation of telecommunications systems and information transmission in telecommunications systems. Graduates of this specialty have the ability to provide opinions on solutions, carry out projects, operate telecommunications and data communications systems intended for management and direction and control in various modes of transportation, including intelligent transportation systems.
