Research

The Faculty of Transport does research in the discipline of Transport and disciplines related to transport.

The research concentrates on the fundamentals of rational organisation and optimisation of transport processes in all areas of the economy, apart from water transport (sea and in-land).

The research covers in particular:

  • organisation and management in transport systems,
  • traffic control in rail, road and air transport,
  • technology of in-house transport and warehousing,
  • dynamics and diagnostics of mechanical systems,
  • reliability and safety of transport systems and means of transport,
  • maintenance of traction systems and shaping the transport infrastructure, including development and use of the methods and means of transport telematics which enable exchange of information in transport systems.
