Description:
The project's goal is to enhance the overall quality of the journal, including its publication process, broaden its reach, and maintain its presence in international circulation. The key outcomes targeted include: reducing the average time from submission to publication, increasing the proportion of international reviewers, improving the journal's citation rates, expanding its level of internationalization, and boosting the journal's online visibility and global recognition. The journal operates as an open-access source. The collection of fees from accepted articles (PLN 1,500 per article) and financial support from WUT help cover ongoing needs such as editorial assistance, typesetting, printing, distribution, and maintaining the journal’s website and FTP server. However, additional funding is necessary to support promotional efforts and upgrade the publication system to current standards, both of which are crucial for expanding the journal’s reach and enhancing its quality. The journal lacks sufficient extra funds to contribute, making it essential to secure financial support through this project. The funding helps to create an attractive environment for authors, reviewers, and editors, significantly streamlining and accelerating the publication process. Additionally, acquiring access to the PUBLONS reviewer database allows the journal to attract highly qualified professionals for article evaluation, implement a new journal format, adopt a professional DTP tool to improve the visual appeal of the content, and prepare promotional materials to increase visibility.
The project was financed from the state budget under the “Development of Scientific Journals” programme.
