Description:
The OMNIS project aims to adapt the teaching offer of the Faculty of Transport to the needs of the labour market. As a result, students can broaden their knowledge and develop practical skills to ensure a successful start in the labour market.
The scope of the project encompasses tasks concerning the modification of the educational programme and one central task concerning the improvement of teaching staff competences.
Taking into account the Development Strategy of Warsaw University of Technology in the area of education, expectations of the socio-economic environment and including employers in the cooperation, within the framework of the task implemented by the Faculty of Transport, a full package of activities is being implemented, including:
- Modifications of educational programmes in cooperation with practitioners and entities from the socio-economic environment.
- Additional elements of education - training, additional classes conducted by industry specialists and student study visits.
- Actions leading to the recruitment of conscious candidates.
- Raising the competences of teaching staff in the digital competences, developing awareness and skills for green transformation, universal design, and teaching competences, including modern teaching methods and educational methodology (e.g. trainings, study visits).
The project results will improve the quality of education and provide students of the supported specialisations with skills better adapted to the needs of the socio-economic environment, which will translate into a better perception of the Faculty's graduates on the labour market.
Support under the OMNIS project is aimed at students and staff teaching in the field of Transport in the following specialisations:
- Air Traffic Organisation and Control (bachelor studies)
- Information and Communication Technology in Transport (bachelor studies)
- Air Transport Engineering (master studies)
The OMNIS project has received a grant from the European Funds for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) programme co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
