Division of Traffic Control and Transport Infrastructure
The plant works on elements of rail and road transport infrastructure in the field of its construction, operation and shaping, steering systems and control of traffic processes in rail transport as well as the organization and control of road traffic, traffic lights, traffic modelling and queue processes at intersections, functioning of fixed and accomodation traffic lights.
Tasks performed by three scientific and didactic teams:
- Team for Transport Infrastructure,
- Road Traffic Control Team,
- The Traffic Control Team.
The didactic activity of the Company is carried out within the specialty:
- Traffic control,
- Rail traffic control,
- Air traffic control,
- Transport Systems Engineering and Management
- and direction Construction and Operation of Rail Transport Infrastructure,
on which, among other things, objects are run:
- Basics of traffic engineering, Traffic control and management,
- Automation,
- Safety in traffic management and control systems.
The plant has 7 modern research and teaching laboratories, some of which were thoroughly modernized in 2017-2018: Laboratory of Digital Technology and Automation, Road Traffic Control, Methods of Modelling and Control, Traffic Measurement, Rail Traffic Control, Rail Traffic Management and Control, Center for Modelling and Testing of Rail Traffic Management and Control Systems.
Their equipment allows, among other things, to design and synthesize digital traffic control systems in transport and simulate the operation of a road network or project team.
