Division for Construction and Operation of Transport Means
The research carried out in the Department concerns the monitoring of the technical condition of vehicles and roads, design and selection of monitoring equipment, research on the influence on objects and people, identification and measurement of dynamic influences, vibrations and noise, assessment and mapping of the acoustic climate for routes and junctions, analysis of parasymmetrical influences, registration of fast-changing phenomena, analysis of dynamic phenomena for high-speed railroads, simulation research of traffic dynamics, vibroacoustic analyses.
The didactic activity of the Department is realized within the specialization:
- Safety engineering and transport ecology,
in which items such as:
- Material science,
- Basics of mechanical engineering,
- Control and optimization theory,
- Simulation of technical systems.
The plant has 3 modern research and teaching laboratories: Laboratory of Materials Science, Basic Machine Construction and Technical Diagnostics and Mechanics.
They enable us to get to know the issues related to materials used in the process of production of infrastructure elements and means of transport as well as technology of production of transport devices.
